Volunteers Are the Heart of HHTLC
HHTLC exists solely because of volunteers who devote many hours of their time. Without volunteers, students would not be able to ride. Teenagers and adults of all ages and from all walks of life, help to bring some sunshine into the lives of the riders at HHTLC. Most are trained as "side walkers" to assist riders with their balance on the horse and with attention to task. Volunteers with horse experience are trained to handle the horses and ponies during lessons.
